ROS1 and non-small cell lung carcinoma: In the absence of targeted therapy for ROS1+ NSCLC, treatment options used for NSCLC include traditional cytotoxic chemotherapy regimens (e.g., platinum-doublets, pemetrexed, docetaxel), and novel, more expensive checkpoint inhibitor immunotherapies (e.g., programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) inhibitor immunotherapies, nivolumab and pembrolizumab).
