PCSK9 and renal cell carcinoma: In addition, although genetically proxied PCSK9 inhibition was not associated with RCC risk in the overall population [OR = 1.55 [95% CI, 0.54–4.48], P = 0.421, FDR-corrected P = 0.520], it was significantly associated with a higher risk of RCC in men [OR = 2.20 [95% CI, 1.24–3.89], P = 0.007, FDR-corrected P = 0.045] but not in women [OR = 0.96 [95% CI, 0.42–2.16], P = 0.914, FDR-corrected P = 0.701]; and the difference by sex was moderate (Pdifference = 0.10).
