We found that casual associations of genetically proxied PCSK9 inhibition with RCC risk in men remained significant after adjusting for waist-to-hip ratio [OR = 1.59 [95% CI, 1.02–2.49], P = 0.041], lifetime smoking index [OR = 1.73 [95% CI, 1.02–2.93], P = 0.042], and type 2 diabetes [OR = 2.07 [95% CI, 1.33–3.24], P = 0.001]. Here, PCSK9 is linked to renal cell carcinoma.
