Rb1 is a major active component of Panax ginseng, whose protective action against a few CVDs (Bai et al., 2018; Zhou et al., 2019), including abdominal aortic aneurysm (Zhang et al., 2015), hypertension-induced carotid arterial remodeling (Lin et al., 2015), myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury (Wu et al., 2011; Xia et al., 2011), and hypertrophy (Kanda et al., 2005; Jiang et al., 2007), has been recently proved by in vivo and in vitro studies. This evidence concerns the gene RB1 and abdominal aortic aneurysm.
