Intravitreal anti-VEGF agents may be associated with devastating complications, such as endophthalmitis, intraocular inflammation, rhegmatogenous retinal detachment, intraocular pressure elevation, ocular haemorrhage, etc. (Falavarjani and Nguyen, 2013), but do not increase the risk of systematic AEs (Thulliez et al., 2018). Here, VEGFA is linked to rhegmatogenous retinal detachment.
