Our study, however, revealed that high expression of the MYC gene was linked to an increased risk of pancreatic cancer, but it was not significantly correlated with either the FTH1 or FTL gene in different tumor grades, implying that MYC may be involved in regulating iron hemostasis in pancreatic cancer but not through modulating ferritin activity. This evidence concerns the gene FTL and pancreatic neoplasm.
