Hypermethylation of BRCA1 in ovarian cancers correlate with significantly shorter median survival (n = 11, 35.6 months) compared to germline BRCA1 (n = 22, 78.6 months) and wild-type BRCA1 (n = 30, 63.3 months) [40]. This evidence concerns the gene BRCA1 and ovarian cancer.
