These results demonstrate an increased abundance of the cytosolic pattern recognition receptor protein DDX58 (also known as RIG-I) and the cytosolic antibody receptor TRIM21 in the lung of patients with COVID-19, with a positive correlation existing between these two antiviral immune components (R2 = 0.65; P = 0.0009) (Figure S3A).
