CXCL10 and hepatocellular carcinoma: miR-223 targets and inhibits several genes in mice that are involved in inflammation and tumorigenesis, such as C-X-C motif chemokine ligand 10 (CXCL10) and transcriptional coactivator with PDZ-binding motif (TAZ), and deletion of the miR-223 gene in HFD-fed mice promoted the development of NASH and NASH-associated hepatocellular carcinoma (109).
