Of note, in wild-type mice at day 5 p.i., the expression of the full-length c-Rel protein was upregulated from steady-state levels predominantly in these activated myeloid cell, monocyte and T cell subsets, as well as in B cells (Supplementary Fig. 1f,d,h–k), suggesting that c-Rel is responding to infection in these key cell types.
