Finally, treatment of Mof-iKO adipocytes with thiazolidinedione (TZD; a potent PPARγ agonist widely used to treat T2D patients80) upon insulin/glucose challenge partially rescued lipid storage defects in Mof-depleted cells (Fig. 7a) and restored the expression of Pgc1α and Glut4 (Fig. 7b, c).
