Patients with BLCA in the high-risk groups had higher expression of PD1, CTLA4 PD-L1, HAVCR2 and LAG3 than those in the low-risk groups, suggesting that the unfavorable prognosis of patients in the high-risk groups might be partly due to the immunosuppressive environment and elevated expression of immune checkpoint genes. Here, CTLA4 is linked to bladder transitional cell carcinoma.
