LDLRAP1 and hereditary disease: In support of the causal association of apolipoprotein‐B‐containing lipoprotein and parental lifespan, we found through a gene interaction network that the four genes responsible for the overwhelming majority of the cases for the most prevalent human genetic disease (Defesche et al., 2017), familial hypercholesterolemia, could be linked with genes regulating lifespan (LDLR, PCSK9, APOB and LDLRAP1).
