Interestingly, the expression of two genes encoding direct targets ubiquitinated by RNF43, namely, DVL3 and VANGL1, increased during melanoma progression (Figure 4—figure supplement 1B and C) and high expression in both cases correlates with bad prognosis and shorter overall survival (Figure 4D, Figure 4—figure supplement 1D).
