We found that age, sex, smoking, and comorbidities such as diabetes and hypertension were not significantly different between non-responders who developed HCC and non-responders without HCC (Table 2), while the serum level of IL-13 and miRNA-135a were significantly higher at the start of therapy in the non-responders who developed HCC after that compared with non-responders who did not develop HCC (Table 2).
