Real-time PCR-based immuno-profiling revealed a strong Th1-biased immune profile of the spleen for all three immunized groups at the end of 60 days (post-infection), indicating a significant upregulation of IFN-γ (33-fold in the case of the 64 kDa immunized animals) compared to the unimmunized controls (Figure 5A). The gene discussed is IFNG; the disease is infection.
