Moreover, we found that increased abundance of Prevotella copri and Neisseria sicca and decreased abundance of Neisseria elongate and Haemophilus parainfluenzae in the oral microbiome associated with the plasma level of CCL23, of which gene expression level was significantly upregulated in NASH patients(Hart et␣al, 2017) (Fig 4E, Dataset EV18). The gene discussed is CCL23; the disease is metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis.
