In the present manuscript, we have provided evidence that the knockdown of Set7/9 methyltransferase in human NSCLC cell models upregulates a number of glycolytic enzymes (hexokinase, aldolase, and lactate dehydrogenase) and their key transcriptional activators—oncogenes c-Myc and HIF1A—at both transcriptional and protein levels. The gene discussed is HIF1A; the disease is non-small cell lung carcinoma.
