Intravenous delivery of helminth-evoked AAMs reduced airways inflammation (55), while intra-nasal administration of an arginase-1+/FIZZ1+ AAM obtained from antibiotic-treated mice increased inflammation in the airway (56): this study also showed that intra-nasal M(IL4) delivery evoked lung eosinophilia, while intraperitoneal injection of AAMs reduced eosinophilia in allergic asthma (52). The gene discussed is ARG1; the disease is allergic asthma.
