Findings that Nlrp3 deficiency results in significantly higher levels of phospho-IκB, phospho-ERK1/2, and translocation of p65 subunit of NF-κB following infection with F. tularensis LVS substantiated the notion that Nlrp3 dampens macrophage response by regulating the NF-κB and MAPK signaling pathways.
