It is shown that AD microvessels had higher levels of mCRP (p = 0.05), pCD31 (p = 0.04), CD8 (p = 0.04), GFAP (p = 0.006) and AQP‐4 (p = 0.02), but lower levels of CD31 (p = 0.03) and PDGFR (p = 0.005), than control capillaries (Figure 7e). Here, GFAP is linked to Alzheimer disease.
