APOE and Alzheimer disease: Given the high frequency at which elderly people experience peripheral inflammatory attacks and develop chronic low‐grade inflammation, which results in the formation and release of mCRP, these data may provide one perspective on why some, but not all, ApoE4 carriers develop AD by the age of 90, and why ApoE2 is protective against the disease (Tanzi, 1999; Tao et al., 2018).
