Moreover, in our opinion, selection bias might have existed, as patients recommended for PET/CT already had a high suspicion of ICI-related myocarditis, with high blood levels of hs troponin I. Indeed, except for one patient, there was a good concordance between a positive PET/CT and elevated blood levels of hs troponin I. The patient who had normal hs troponin I serum levels at the time of PET/CT was treated with a high dose of steroids and intravenous immunoglobulin for several days prior to PET/CT.
