Notable findings include increased expression of circulating Ly6C+ T Cells (both CD4+ and CD8+CD73+ subpopulations) by day 10 post-vaccination (or after initial infection in lieu of vaccination), increased CD44 expression on CD4+ T cells by day 35 post-vaccination (possibly representing TCM cells), reduced circulating innate myeloid cells, and a potential circulating immune signature (CD8+ TCM, CD4+ TEM, and mature NK cells) associated with bacterial clearance in WCV vaccinated animals. Here, CD4 is linked to infection.
