BRAF and melanoma: Despite the skepticism arisen from the high aggressiveness of these cells once implanted in mice, as well as from the lack of genetic diversity typical of human melanoma and of BRAF mutation [230], the B16 model represents a great tool for the evaluation of traditional chemotherapies [231,232,233,234], vaccines and immunotherapies [235,236,237,238] and photodynamic/photoacoustic therapies [149,239,240] (Table 3).
