A case-control study demonstrated that chronic fatigue syndrome patients exhibited lower FreeT3 (triiodothyronine), TT3 (total triiodothyronine), decreased peripheral conversion of T4 (thyroxine) to T3, normal/high-normal TT4 (total thyroxine) level, and lower protein binding of thyroid hormones [131]. Here, TG is linked to myalgic encephalomeyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome.
