Blood HDL cholesterol concentration was lower (p < 0.05), whereas blood uric acid, CRP, LDL cholesterol, triglycerides, triglyceride-to-HDL cholesterol ratio, glucose, insulin, and leptin concentrations were all higher (p < 0.05) in adolescents with obesity (Table 2 and Table S2). This evidence concerns the gene CRP and obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency.
