In preeclampsia, AT1R forms a heterodimer with the bradykinin B2 receptor (B2R) called AT1R-B2R protein complex and becomes hyper-responsive to AngII; AT1R-B2R formation is increased in preeclampsia since down-regulation of the protein complex expression is inhibited due to beta-arrestin1 (ARRB1) dysfunction [44]. Here, ARRB1 is linked to preeclampsia.
