FGF2 and renal cell carcinoma: Gain- and loss-of-function studies were used to demonstrate mutual inhibitory effects along the PCGEM1/miR-433-3p/FGF2 axis, demonstrating a positive relationship between PCGEM1 and FGF2, and an activating effect on the proliferation and migration of PCGEM1 and FGF2, as opposed to a suppressor role of miR-433-3p in RCC [60].
