Protein array results showed a decrease in the protein levels of the proliferation marker Ki67 (−26%; p < 0.05) and the cell cycle regulators checkpoint kinase 1 (chk1, −25%; p < 0.05), p73 (−26%; p < 0.05), and cell division cycle 34 (CDC34, −20%; p = 0.09) in T1DM (Figure 1A).
