Comparing the transcriptomes between the GBA-PD independent of the type of mutation (L444P, N370S) as well as in L444P/N GBA-PD revealed three genes (JUNB, EGR1, NR4A2) encoding transcriptional regulators involved in the maintenance of dopaminergic neuron function, neuronal differentiation, and neurogenesis from the top of the DEGs list. The gene discussed is NR4A2; the disease is Parkinson disease.
