More than 15 low-risk melanoma susceptibility genes have been identified by GWAS studies including melanocortin type 1 receptor (MC1R), solute carrier family 45 member 2 (SLC45A2), oculocutaneous albinism II (OCA2), agouti signalling ptotein (ASIP), tyrosinase (TYR), tyrosinase related protein 1 (TYRP1) [50].
