Here, we analyzed p53 and p73 expression in a panel of melanoma cell lines in basal conditions, and in response to common anti-cancer therapies, including standard DNA-damaging agents such as doxorubicin, etoposide, cisplatin, and radiotherapy, as well as drugs used prevalently in melanoma, such as dacarbazine and the melanoma-specific drug vemurafenib. This evidence concerns the gene TP73 and cancer.
