CXCL8 and neoplasm: Interestingly, CXCL8 and CXCR2 concentrations were found to be the highest in patients with a greater depth of tumor invasion (T4 stage) in comparison to T1 + 2 and T3 patients and likewise with the levels of classical tumor markers (CEA and CA19-9) and CRP; however, these differences were statistically significant only for CRP concentrations (p = 0.020) in the Kruskal–Wallis test.
