In this study, we use a systems metabolomics approach [53], combining metabolomic and transcriptomic profiling with metabolic labeling, to probe the response of MDA-MB231, a triple-negative breast cancer cells line that shows a high glycolytic flux and a reduced maximal respiratory ability, to genetic or pharmacological perturbation of the CtBP proteins. This evidence concerns the gene CTBP1 and triple-negative breast carcinoma.
