Consistently, CNOT2 depletion sensitized p53 expression in HCT116 p53+/+ cells due to doxorubicin, as shown in Figure 5B. These results demonstrate that CNOT2 contributes to cancer cell resistance to anticancer drugs in p53-containing cancer cells, which could be a potential molecular target for chemotherapy in the future.
