Here, we investigated the steady-state levels of SOD3 in several pathogenic retinas with different causes: a RhoP23H/+ [60] knockin model of rhodopsin that caused retinitis pigmentosa in patients [38], a Prph2Y/+ knockin model [39] of pattern dystrophy mutation (Y141C) in peripherin 2 (Prph2) [40] and an INS2Akita Type I diabetic model [61]. This evidence concerns the gene RHO and retinitis pigmentosa.
