The mean levels of serum AFB1-albumin adducts in 29 identified HCC groups were >1.2 pmol/mg of albumin at both the beginning and end of the study period, and urinary AFB1 metabolites were detected in 88.9% of samples (range 0.9–3569.7 ng/24 h urine). This evidence concerns the gene ALB and hepatocellular carcinoma.
