Especially, the expression of TIMP2 was significantly dysregulated in different types of breast cancer, like benign breast neoplasm, breast carcinoma, ductal breast carcinoma in situ, breast phyllodes tumor, invasive breast carcinoma, invasive ductal breast carcinoma, invasive lobular breast carcinoma, medullary breast carcinoma, mucinous breast carcinoma, and tubular breast carcinoma (Fig. 1B). This evidence concerns the gene TIMP2 and breast neoplasm.
