IDH3A and glioblastoma: A total of 120 patients (59 females; 61 males; mean age 62.2 ± 12.0 years; 27–84 years) with newly diagnosed, untreated contrast-enhancing brain tumors satisfied the inclusion criteria: 64 patients (53%; 27 females; 37 males; mean age 62.8 ± 12.7 years; 31–84 years) had the diagnosis of a glioblastoma (World Health Organization [WHO] grade 4, isocitrate dehydrogenase [IDH] wild type) and 20 patients (17%; 11 females; 9 males; mean age 62.8 ± 12.7 years; 31–84 years) had a brain metastasis.
