In conclusion, our assessments including systemic inflammatory indicators, endothelial function, and arterial stiffness showed that moderate and severe OSA patients without severe complications only had low levels of inflammation and vascular endothelial injury markers, which were mainly manifested by hsCRP, TNF-α, and VEGF, among which TNF-α was independently associated with OSA. This evidence concerns the gene VEGFA and obstructive sleep apnea syndrome.
