CEACAM5 and cancer: Patients with previous extrapulmonary malignancies were older (62.0 ± 11.3 vs. 60.3 ± 11.2 years; p = 0.045), predominantly female (71.0 vs. 63.3%; p = 0.030), less likely to have a family history of lung cancer (12.5 vs. 19.7%; p = 0.013), and more likely to have higher preoperative CEA levels (≥ 5 ng/mL: 17.0 vs. 11.0%; p = 0.020) than those with lung cancer only.
