Up until now, the role of ANXA6 in regulating cancer progression has not been well studied, and interestingly, Uchihara et al. (2020) evidence that cancer associated fibroblast-derived ANXA6-containing extracellular vesicles enhance drug resistance in BC, and Leca et al. (2016) support the idea that cancer-associated fibroblast-derived ANXA6-containing exosomes facilitate pancreatic cancer aggressiveness. The gene discussed is ANXA6; the disease is familial pancreatic carcinoma.
