Finally, this study used bioinformatics software, luciferase reporter gene analysis, qRT-PCR, and western blotting to predict and confirm that STAT4 is the direct target gene of miR-141, and that, in liver cancer cells, miR-141 and STAT4 are negatively regulated, which means that miR-141 inhibits the growth and metastasis of liver cancer cell by targeting STAT4.
