In line with the in vitro results, treatment of AOM/DSS mice with the tmTNF-α antibody significantly inhibited IκBα degradation and phosphorylation of NF-κB p65 on day 8 and day 38 (Figures 8D, E), indicating that the anti-inflammatory effects of the tmTNF-α antibody were mediated by suppressing the NF-κB pathway. The gene discussed is NFKB1; the disease is infectious otitis media.
