In untreated mice with B16-F10 melanoma, skeletal muscle cytochrome c (p = 0.0026), complex II (p = 0.0264), complex III (p = 0.0122), complex IV (p = 0.0037) and complex V (p = 0.0040) levels were elevated in exercising compared with non-exercising mice, while complex I, COX-IV, citrate synthase activity and complex IV activity were unchanged (Fig 3). The gene discussed is CS; the disease is melanoma.
