To study the active role of YAP/TAZ in translocating ATF4 to the nucleus, we transfected HLE HCC cells with plasmid constructs coding for wild‐type TAZ, constitute‐active TAZ, or constitutive‐active TAZ lacking the nuclear localization signal (NLS), and analyzed ATF4 subcellular localization by immunofluorescence microscopy. Here, YAP1 is linked to hepatocellular carcinoma.
