We found that the expressions of superoxide dismutase 1 (Sod1), superoxide dismutase 2 (Sod2), catalase (Cat), and nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2 (Nrf2) were upregulated in hearts from the MI/R group compared to sham mice, which was prevented by dioscin treatment (Figures 3(c)–3(f)). This evidence concerns the gene SOD1 and myocardial infarction.
