First‐ and second‐generation inhibitors, crizotinib, ceritinib and alectinib, are currently used as first‐line treatment for ALK‐positive NSCLC patients, while lorlatinib, a third‐generation inhibitor, is approved for a second‐ or third‐line treatment after crizotinib, ceritinib or alectinib in ALK‐positive metastatic NSCLC (Solomon et al, 2014, 2018). Here, ALK is linked to non-small cell lung carcinoma.
