As shown in Table 2, univariate analysis identified age (OR = 0.635, 95%CI: 0.418–0.965, p = 0.033), length of fever (OR = 1.299, 95%CI: 1.170–1.441, p = 0.000), TG (OR = 9.669, 95%CI: 4.084–22.891, p = 0.000), ferritin (OR = 1.001, 95%CI: 1.000–1.001, p = 0.000), albumin (OR = 0.682, 95%CI: 0.588–0.791, p = 0.000), Hs-CRP (OR = 1.016, 95%CI: 1.003–1.030, p = 0.020), IL-6 (OR = 1.003, 95%CI: 1.001–1.005, p = 0.001), and IL-10 (OR = 1.015, 95%CI: 1.000–1.030, p = 0.049) as potential risk factors for SAP to develop HLH. This evidence concerns the gene ALB and hemophagocytic syndrome.
