Contactin-1 (CNTN-1) is an immunoglobulin family member [18] and it has been demonstrated that CNTN-1 also plays a key role in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) [19], gastric carcinoma (GC) [20], lung adenocarcinoma [21], oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) [22], hepatocellular carcinoma [23], and prostate cancer [24] progression and promotes the invasion and metastasis of cancer [25]. The gene discussed is CNTN1; the disease is cancer.
