Furthermore, ELISA showed that PTEN was upregulated in serum of PCOS-nonobese patients relative to control-nonobese patients; PTEN was upregulated in serum of PCOS-obese patients relative to control-obese patients; PTEN expression in serum of PCOS-obese patients was higher than that of PCOS-nonobese patients (all P < 0.01, Figure 3(c)). This evidence concerns the gene PTEN and polycystic ovary syndrome.
